Keith Carson wore the red suit for 18 years, (full time for 10 of them). First for his neighbor’s children, which led to his donning the suit at Christmastime for the police department where he served for 25 years.
In 2012 he launched a non-profit organization, the Believe in Santa Foundation, assisting children in need all year round. The Organization helped on average over 6,000 children in need each year. Keith has been a regular presenter at the various Christmas Performer conferences, was a Board member of IBRBS, served as Emcee for two International Santa Claus Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, and was a member of the world-famous Santa Claus Drill Team.
Carson was also known as Santa for the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and at the World Equestrian Center, named to the list of Time Magazine’s World’s Greatest Places. During his career, he attended most of the top schools, workshops and conferences. During his career he received the Through the Eyes of a Child Award from the Santa Claus Oath Foundation, Clan Claus Society Chairman’s Service Award and Order of the Benevolent Reindeer Award, Order of Saint Nicholas Medal, the IBRBS Santa of the Year Award, and was knighted in the Knights of Saint Nicholas.
