Nominate a Candidate
The International Santa Claus Hall of Fame was established to recognize and honor the men and women who have dedicated their lives to embodying the spirit of Santa Claus through performance, service, and community impact. Each inductee represents a legacy of joy, tradition, and generosity that has touched countless lives.
We welcome nominations from the public and the Santa community for individuals who have made a lasting contribution to the Santa world. Please read the following carefully to ensure your nomination meets the required criteria.
Nomination Requirements
To be considered, a nomination must clearly demonstrate the nominee’s “body of work” – a sustained, meaningful, and original contribution to the portrayal and preservation of the Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus tradition. Please include the following:
Candidate Information
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Location (City, State/Province, Country)
Detailed Career Summary
Provide a comprehensive overview of the nominee’s career as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, or in a significant supporting role. The summary must include the following:
Overall Career Summary
A biographical narrative highlighting the nominee’s journey and evolution in the Santa world.
Service to Their Community
Describe ways the nominee has positively impacted their local community through volunteerism, events, or outreach.
Range of Appearances
Include types of appearances such as parades, malls, private events, hospitals, military bases, media appearances, etc.
Contribution to the Santa World
Detail any innovations, mentorship, educational outreach, publications, or organizational involvement.
Length of Service
Specify how long the nominee has portrayed Santa Claus or been active in a related role.
Uniqueness of Career
Explain what sets this nominee apart from others in the field.
Originality
Share any special elements, characters, or approaches developed by the nominee that have added to the magic of Santa.
Charitable Work
Include specific examples of the nominee’s involvement in charitable causes, fundraising, or philanthropic programs.
References
To ensure impartiality and community support, all nominations must include:
- 8 to 10 letters of reference
- References can include civic, religious, business and fraternal organizations
- References must come from non-family members and outside the Santa community
- Each reference should briefly describe the nominee’s impact and character
Important Note on Petitions
Please be advised that signed petitions are not accepted as part of the nomination process. Petitions do not meet the criteria for reference letters and will be disregarded. Nominations must include individual letters of reference that provide thoughtful, personal insight into the nominee’s character, impact, and contributions.
Supporting Materials
Please submit examples of the nominee’s work, such as:
- Photos or videos of appearances
- Newspaper or media articles
- Event programs, promotional materials
- Letters, certificates, or awards
All materials must be clearly cited. If submitting digital files, include a list of sources with dates and descriptions.

Deadline
Nominations for the 2025 class must be received by August 15, 2025 to be considered for the following year’s induction.
